I’m David Garcia, a Bioengineering student at George Mason University. I chose Bioengineering because it is an intersect of all the fields that interest me and requires not only technical expertise, but creativity when solving problems as well.
My area of expertise is web development, UX design, programming and branding. I have worked on developing brands from the ground up in the past including starting up a magazine (retired), creating ad campaigns and most recently starting a sports blog. I’ve spent the last two years assisting George Mason Athletics’ Department of Marketing in increasing student attendance and social media engagement. I am currently working on independent projects aimed at increasing George Mason fan engagement and tackling issues students face through app development (Works in progress).
In the future, I hope to carry the skills I have acquired from both my education as an engineer and experience within the world of marketing to create new and effective products and services to help improve healthcare.
